Stripes are huge and they are everywhere. Stripes with flowers and a silk top and a red hat! Hmmm… then that’s rare.



They say the grass is always greener on the other side and Central Park is a heaven for nature lovers in the midst of the hustle of NYC ! Olive being one of the color I click with, I randomly picked one of the silk-looking(not sure if its silk or not) top from Salvation Army thrift store in NYC. Last to last week, as you would remember, I had done a Thrift Fashion Tour of NYC, the details of which are here! Living in US has been a blessing in disguise. Although I miss Myntra, I swear I do, I leave no attempts to revive them from my closet in which some stuff was bought from Myntra when I was leaving the country. Like this one that I am wearing! The hat (my friend’s) is from another Indian Brand Koovs.

So this week, has been super special for me. One of my fashion blogger and fashion enthusiast friend “Nithya David” arrived from Bangalore to New York last week and we hit it off instantly at Times Square. We were meeting after a decade yes, after we had briefly interacted in one of the fashion events in Bangalore. And somehow the conversation never seemed to cease! I liked her, she liked me vibe. And so, as every fashion enthusiast we were very keen on taking each others’ pictures. Our next spot was Central Park and today was that day!

We shared smiles and laughter and inspiration for dresses and exchanged compliments and glances. The thing girls do all the time!

This week also has been super special to me because I got invites for 2 major events in the city which is IIFA 2017 (equivalent to Oscars for Bollywood) and Men’s New York City Fashion Week. On Wednesday, I have an appointment with Rebellations in Hoboken for a hair cut and color if I like the cut, and I am nervous as hell. The last time I remember I got a haircut was some 3 years back.

Myntra is coming to town for their IIFA Stomp fashion show on 13th with Bollywood stars in Times Square! It's gonna be super fun...
