We all know India is a land of Festivals. Our marriages are never a one-day event. With rituals such as Haldi and Mehndi and Sangeet and what not, we have our very own grand finale of almost a week. Hence, many girls including me had loads of fun!

This shot is taken on the Haldi event of one of my cousin in Patna, Bihar (Haven't been to Bihar, explore with my eyes at Ankionthemove) . I was wearing the Saree I had gotten from Jashn, one of my favorite designer brands. When on sale, I used to grab as many pieces as I could as many of their designs were so unique that I never found something similar elsewhere and they used to be affordable too.









In fact, my hubby used to say you never wear so many sarees, why do you get them. But believe me the prices were too good to not take them. I have gifted them to my mom as well.




The best part of this function was, if you have got a camera, everyone assumes you are the official photographer of the day and so, while I was never ready to be one, I became the one taking all the pictures of the event!

 Wear a contrasting Blouse

This plain simple net sari goes so well with the contrasting blouse that I felt like singing the song 'Chandni Chandni' from the movie Chandni. I love looking elegant yet simple.

   
2) Team up with a Top or better still crop top or ruffled off shoulders top or long sleeve top

I love this plain and simple white top from Zara and it goes well with the sari. The trick here, wrap sari like a skirt. Punch it in Pin in it... and there you go!




3)Try Waistcoat

If you have got waistcoat or colorful Gujarati Jackets, do try them over the blouse.. They look great 



4) Go Classic

Most often what we do is match the color of embroidery or the work or the color of our sari with the blouse. In this, the work is in silver tones and hence am wearing silver blouse.



5)Skip Peticot and get a long skirt

I know how uneasy peticots can get. So I tried wearing the sari with a long fitted stretchable golden skirt. It fits perfectly and gives enough room for movement. Even if you are getting it stitched, fish cuts work better than normal cuts.

            Travelers Tip :The 5 metre saree/half saree ,preferably chiffon is easy to carry and easy to wrap.The one I am wearing in the picture is a full saree,the one in the video is a 5 metre saree.
